Terms of use for the Barichara guide

Conditions for using HotelesBarichara.com: how current the data is, river safety, third party bookings, copyright and governing law.

Using HotelesBarichara.com means accepting these conditions. There are not many.

Who publishes

It is an independent guide by Julián Durango Gallego, from Sabaneta, Antioquia, Colombia (contacto@juliandurango.com). We do not speak for the Barichara town hall, the Heritage Towns network, any bus company or hotel, or Booking.com.

Dated information

Bus fares, times, hotel scores and amenities come from cited sources checked in October 2026. They change: a hotel changes its name, a fare goes up or a trail closes for repairs. Confirm with the source before you go.

Trails and viewpoints

Barichara sits on the rim of the Suárez river canyon: viewpoints such as Salto del Mico drop hundreds of meters, without railings in places, and the Camino Real has loose stone and strong sun. What we publish is general information, not a safety assessment. Each visitor decides how close to get to the edge.

Bookings

Nothing is sold here. If you book from a link, the contract is with Booking.com or the property, under their payment and cancellation terms. More in the affiliate disclosure.

Text and images

The text is our own. Wikimedia Commons photos carry their author and license; images labeled as AI-generated are illustrative and do not show real places in Barichara. You may quote short passages with a link to the page.

Liability and law

We link to third party sites whose content we do not control. We try to keep the guide accurate and online without guaranteeing it, and to the extent Colombian law allows we are not liable for decisions based on it. The laws of the Republic of Colombia apply.
