Who runs HotelesBarichara.com
Who writes this Barichara hotel and travel guide, where the lodging, bus, weather and trail data comes from, and how it is funded.

HotelesBarichara.com started with a plain question: with over two hundred properties listed on Booking.com for one stone-paved town, which one is near the square, which has a pool and which works if you arrive by bus from San Gil? The guide is put together by Julián Durango from Sabaneta, Antioquia.
Where each fact comes from
History and heritage come from Spanish and English Wikipedia, Ministry of Culture Resolution 790 of 1998 on the Camino Real to Guane and the Heritage Towns network site. Bus times and fares come from the Cotrasangil timetables published by Colombuses and from the Bogotá bus company pages. Weather uses Weather Spark and Climate-Data averages.
Hotel pages use what Booking.com shows publicly on October 20, 2026: score, review count, address, coordinates and amenities. Nobody from this site stayed at these places to write about them, and each review says so.
How it is paid for
Some buttons lead to Booking.com through a CJ affiliate link. If you book that way, Booking.com pays a commission and your rate stays the same. Hotels do not pay to appear or to rank higher. More in the affiliate disclosure.
